Can I claim for pregnancy compression garments via Extras cover?

To claim for pregnancy compression garments, you need to be on Top Extras with any applicable waiting period served.

You may be able claim towards pregnancy compression leggings or TGA-approved recovery shorts that are:

  • Purchased from a registered Australian business with a physical presence in Australia.

You can’t claim towards:

  • Pregnancy active wear (e.g. sports-related or body enhancing garments).

When submitting your claim, please include:

  • Itemised tax invoice that shows the name of the patient (i.e. the person who’ll be wearing the garments).

Like most services under the Artificial Aids & Appliances benefit, Pregnancy compression garments has an annual sub-limit.
