Can I claim to have my wisdom teeth out (under Extras cover)?
Wisdom teeth removal is covered on Top Extras, Mid Extras and StarterPak (Basic Plus), but only if your dentist does the extraction at their practice.
Depending on how complex the extraction is, you can usually claim it under Major Dental with your Extras cover. But if it involves a simple extraction, you can claim it under General Dental instead.
If an oral surgeon treats you as an inpatient, you may be able to claim things like hospital accommodation, theatre, specialist and anaesthetist fees under your Hospital cover. You’ll still have to claim for the extraction under Extras if you’re covered.
