Healthy lifestyle programs
Through the ‘Healthy Lifestyle’ component of Teachers Health Fund’s Extras covers, we provide a benefit towards the cost of approved health-related programs, courses, memberships and screenings to further support our members’ health and wellbeing. The Healthy Lifestyle benefit is available under all our Extras products.
To access the Healthy Lifestyle benefit, health-related programs and courses simply need to be recommended by your referring health practitioner as part of a health management program intended to ameliorate a specific health or medical condition. To put this simply, your GP, medical specialist, physiotherapist, chiropractor or occupational therapist must confirm that the health-related program or course is intended to improve your health condition by completing the Healthy Lifestyle Program Support Documentation form every 12 months.
