Who can join the Teachers Health family?
As the not-for-profit industry health fund set up to help care for the education community, we're one big family. We not only welcome teachers, school staff and education students who are current members of a relevant union, but a long list of relatives too (as you can see from the family tree below).
We're for teachers, school staff and the education community
Are you a teacher, an academic, an education student or admin/support staff and a union member? Or were you in the past? You can join us if any of the following describes you:

As the not-for-profit health fund for the education community, we put teachers first – and it shows through the voices of our members. Their recognition helped us earn two Roy Morgan Awards in 2024, including Private Health Insurer of the Year.
Terms and conditions
*Eligibility criteria and conditions apply. The offer is available to new members who join Teachers Health with an eligible Hospital & Extras cover or StarterPak (Basic Plus) by 31 October 2026. The eGift card will be emailed to the policyholder six weeks after joining, provided the policyholder has maintained Eligible Cover for at least 30 days and Teachers Health has received at least one successful direct debit payment. Two and six month waiting periods are waived on Extras services only. See full terms and conditions.
