Can I claim for orthodontic treatment via Extras cover?
If you’re on Top Extras or Mid Extras – yes!
Top Extras
Once you’ve served your 12-month waiting period, you can claim up to $2,500 per person in a lifetime (lifetime limit).
Mid Extras
Orthodontia is combined with your Major Dental benefit. Once you’ve had your cover for 12 months, you can claim up to $300 for Orthodontia per year – up to a lifetime limit of $2,500 per person.
Due to the lifetime limit, whatever you claim for Orthodontia at one health fund will be deducted from the amount you can claim at another (if you later switch funds).
