Celebrating the difference they make
Thanks for helping us celebrate the difference teachers make by nominating your favourite. We had an incredible response (over 700 nominations!) – a true reflection of the amazing impact teachers have in our communities.
Every story was heartfelt, moving and filled us with joy (and the occasional giggle). We congratulate both our winners and nominees – you not only inspire your colleagues, students and their families – you inspire us too.
Major prize winner
We’re delighted to announce Sally H from NSW, as the major prize winner of the $1,000 eGift card!
Sally was nominated by a fellow teacher, who said:
"I would not be the educator I am today without her guidance and encouragement.
"She doesn’t just lead, she mentors, supports and inspires everyone around her. Her guidance helps teachers thrive and students feel valued in a safe, inclusive environment."
Daily prize winners

Natasha Z was nominated by the Principal of her school, who said:
“Her resilience and genuine care for her students, and her colleagues, make her truly inspiring.
"Natasha is warm, dedicated and makes everyone feel valued. She doesn’t just teach Year 2, she nurtures every child’s confidence and wellbeing, while inspiring her colleagues through collaboration and leadership."
Sharon C was nominated by a former student whose own children are now taught by Sharon.
“She creates an inclusive space where neurodivergent kids feel confident and truly understood.
"Sharon stands out for the way she lifts students, families and her whole school community. She brings calm, creativity and music into her classroom, helping every child feel safe and supported."
Kyra M was nominated by a community member, who said:
“She has a rare ability to connect with autistic children, empowering them to express themselves with confidence.
"Kyra creates a truly inclusive environment where every child is celebrated.
"She doesn’t just teach, she transforms lives. Her patience, compassion and tailored support give children the tools to communicate and thrive."
Linda K was nominated by one of her Year 4 students:
“She has transformed my hard, terrible life of maths into a joyful, excellent life of maths.
"Linda transforms learning into a joyful and empowering experience. She doesn’t just teach; she changes how students see themselves.
"Her encouragement, patience and guidance help students build confidence and excellence in maths."
