TOGETHER.
BETTER.

We've joined forces with Teachers Health

Following the successful union of Teachers Health Group and Teachers Union Health (TUH) on 1 July 2025, we’ve united two not-for-profit, union-based health funds with more than 120 years of combined experience supporting Australia’s education community.

Together, we’ve created a single health fund dedicated exclusively to educators and their families – offering greater value, more choice and deeper support for the people who make a difference every day.

Here are just some of the reasons TUH chose to join forces with Teachers Health:

We’re for teachers

Both funds were established by unions committed to delivering the best health outcomes for education staff and their families.

Here’s what’s new

Family icon

Reduced hospital treatment costs

We know your family’s wellbeing comes first. That’s why we’ve removed excess payments for dependants on Basic Hospital cover. It’s one more way your cover helps ease the cost of hospital treatment when your family needs it the most.

Audiology icon

Fast, simple claiming for hearing care

Getting the right hearing support should be easy. With instant claiming for hearing aids and audiology, you can claim on the spot at your provider’s clinic – no more forms or waiting. That’s fewer barriers and faster access to the devices you (or your loved ones) need.

Health Centres icon

More places for care

We’ve expanded our Health Centre network to make quality care more accessible, including the Health Hub in Brisbane. It’s a one-stop destination for dental, optical and healthcare services – saving you time and helping you manage your health in one place.

Freedom of choice

Need new prescription sunglasses? You can now claim for them from any retailer across Australia – not just selected providers. Enjoy greater flexibility in styles, brands and locations, so you can protect your eyes and express your style, your way.
