Getting started
To register your online account, as the policyholder, you’ll need your membership number and the email account or mobile number linked to your membership.
Register your account
You only need to register once. The same login details work for both the app and Online Member Services (our secure website) and are linked to the policyholder’s details.
How to log in:
You can access your online account through the My Teachers Health app or Online Member Services. Select Log In at the top of our website to securely log in to Online Member Services.
The My Teachers Health app is available from the App Store or Google Play.
How to register:
- On the Member login screen, select Register (in the app, you’ll tap Get started first)
- Enter your Membership number
- Enter the policyholder’s First and Last name and Date of birth
- Create a password for your account
- Accept the Terms & Conditions
- Choose how you’d like to receive verification codes
Verification codes are a part of multi-factor authentication (MFA) and required to help protect your personal account information by confirming it’s really you signing in.You can get codes either by text message (SMS), email or an authenticator app (e.g. Microsoft Authenticator).
We’ll send the code to the mobile number or email address linked to your membership when you joined. For help setting this up, refer to our guide on how to set up multi-factor authentication.
- Select Send code
- Check your email or text to retrieve the 6-digit code
If you’re using an authenticator app, you’ll need to set it up first. Scan the QR code using your authenticator app or reveal it on the screen if you can’t scan it.

Can I use biometrics to log in to the app?
If your mobile device supports it, you can set up Face ID or biometrics in the app. Otherwise, you’ll be asked to confirm your identity with a 6-digit verification code each time you log in.
Didn’t receive a verification code?
If the policyholder hasn’t received a code via mobile or email, first check that the membership number you entered matches the one on the membership card.
If the number is correct, it’s possible we have the wrong mobile number or email on the membership. Please call us on 1300 727 538 so we can confirm or update the contact details.
Password requirements
A strong password can help keep your information secure. When you register or reset your password, you’ll be prompted to create a password that is:
- 12 – 64 characters in length
And contain at least one of each of the following:
- Lowercase letter
- Uppercase letter
- Digit (number)
- Symbol (special character)
Resetting your password
To reset your password, from the Member login screen:
- Select Reset password (from the app, select Click here next to ‘Forgot password?’)
- Enter the Membership number
- Enter Date of birth (policyholder)
- Select Send code
- Enter the 6-digit code, then Verify
- Enter and confirm your new password
