This guide shows you how to make and manage your premium payments, and how to update the bank account your claims are paid into. From one-off payments to updating your payment frequency, you'll manage everything in your online account.

Make a payment
Making payments online is easy and flexible. You can pay up to a specific date or enter a custom amount, which adjusts your paid-to date. You can pay up to 13 months in advance and only Visa and Mastercard credit cards are accepted.
Where to make a payment online
In Online Member Services, select Payments from the navigation menu on the left and then Make a payment.
In the app, tap Account from the bottom navigation and then tap Make a payment.
Then, choose how you’d like to make your payment:
Prepay your cover
- Select Pay up to a specific date
- Select a Pay to date
- The amount to pay is calculated for you
- Select Continue to payment
- Enter your payment details
- Your paid-to date and payment details will display, and a receipt will be emailed
- Select Done
Make a single payment
- Select Pay a custom amount
- Enter the amount you want to pay
- The paid-to date is calculated for you
- Select Continue to payment
- Enter your payment details
- Your paid-to date and payment details will display, and a receipt will be emailed
- Select Done
How to pay using BPAY
You’ll need your Customer Reference Number (CRN) to use BPAY. If you don't have it stored, you can find your CRN in your online account.
From the app or Online Member Services:
- Go to Inbox
- Locate your latest Rate Change Notice
- Open the file and scroll down to the BPAY section
- Note down your CRN (underneath the Biller code)
Pay in person
Visit the Member Care Counter at the Surry Hills, Wollongong or Parramatta Health Centre.
Manage how you pay your premiums
Add or change the account selected to pay your premiums and manage the payment frequency.
Online Member Services
Set up or change your Direct Debit payment method
- Select Payments from the navigation menu on the left and then select Premiums
- In the Manage premiums screen, select Set up direct debit
- If you have an account already set up, you can change it by selecting the Edit icon next to that Payment method
- Provide the account details to pay your premium
- You can opt to use this account to receive claims payments
- View and accept the Direct Debit Request Service Agreement
- Select Save
Change your Direct Debit payment frequency
- Select Payments from the navigation menu on the left and then select Premiums
- From the Manage premiums screen, select the edit icon next to the premium amount & frequency
- Select a new payment frequency
You can choose from:
- Fortnightly
- Monthly
- Quarterly
- 6-monthly
- Yearly
- Select Confirm & update
My Teachers Health app
Set up or change your Direct Debit payment method
- From the bottom navigation, tap Account
- Under Payment details, tap Manage payments
- Tap Premiums
- Tap Update payment details
- Provide the account details to pay your premium
- You can opt to use this account to receive claims payments
- View and accept the Direct Debit Request Service Agreement
- Select Save
Change your Direct Debit payment frequency
- From the bottom navigation, tap Account
- Under Payment details, tap Manage payments
- Tap Premiums
- Tap Change premium frequency
- Select a new payment frequency
You can choose from:
- Fortnightly
- Monthly
- Quarterly
- 6-monthly
- Yearly
- Select Save
Set up where claims are paid
Manage the Direct Credit account selected to receive your claims payments.
In your online account, either from the Payments screen in Online Member Services or the Manage payments screen in the app:
- Select Claims
- Select Update payment details
- Add your bank account details
- Select Save
