Do I have to use the Mental Health Waiver before I’m admitted for inpatient psychiatric treatment?
No. If you upgrade to Top Hospital (Gold) within five days of your hospital admission, you can claim the costs from the time you were admitted.
If you upgrade more than five days after your admission, you can only claim the costs of your hospital stay from the date you upgraded.
