What do Gold, Silver, Bronze and Basic mean?
Gold, Silver, Bronze and Basic are product tiers the government introduced to make Hospital cover simpler and help people easily compare between funds. All funds have to fit their Hospital cover into one of these tiers.
Each tier has minimum requirements – they have to include certain clinical categories.
Products with a ‘Plus’ at the end (e.g. Silver Plus) cover more than the minimum requirements for that tier.
