As the health fund for the education community and their families, Teachers Health is proud to celebrate the achievements of teachers and school staff this Teachers Day. Teachers Day is an important opportunity to recognise the positive impact of teachers on behalf on their students, schools, colleagues, and the community at large.

It’s additionally a chance to share appreciation for their continued efforts to inspire and care for their students and acknowledge their vital role in leadership for the next generation.

As part of their ongoing commitment to supporting the needs of the educational community, Teachers Health is proud to continue their partnership with the Public Education Foundation and sponsorship of the Teachers Health Early Career Scholarship.

The scholarship is open to public school teachers in the first three years of their careers and provides $10,000 of funding to support their professional development, education, and leadership skills.

Teachers Health Group CEO Brad Joyce said, "We're proud to celebrate the efforts and contribution of teachers to their students, schools and the broader community. As the health fund for school staff and their families, we want to recognise that impact and support initiatives that support the educational community as a whole.”

“The Teachers Health Early Career Scholarship is a great opportunity for new teachers to build their leadership skills and professional development to enable them to achieve their potential,” he concluded.

“Teachers play such an important role in the lives of our children and we at the Public Education Foundation acknowledge the support from Teachers Health for teachers in our public education system. The Teacher Health Scholarships provide professional development, education, and leadership skills to teachers in the early stages of their career,” said CEO of the Public Education Foundation David Riordan.

“We believe this helps to improve the quality of the education being delivered in our public schools which results in better education outcomes. These scholarships also have a positive impact, not just on the scholarship recipients but also on the schools and the wider community.  We thank Teachers Health for their ongoing support and their dedication and commitment to teachers,” he concluded.
