1CGU cover either the weekly rent listed on your Certificate of Insurance, or the weekly rent in your rental agreement, whichever is less. A valid rental agreement is required.
2Under a Landlord ‘Contents’ policy, your furniture and furnishings are covered up to the contents insured amount. Under a Landlord ‘Building’ policy, if your property isn’t under a strata or similar scheme your furniture and furnishings are covered to up to 10% of the buildings insured amount.
3If theft or vandalism by tenant, CGU will deduct from your claim four times the weekly rent amount shown on your rental agreement, in addition to the standard excess. A valid rental agreement is required. No excess is payable for a claim made only under the ‘Replacement of keys and locks’ additional benefit.
4CGU don’t cover actions of the sea, such as tides and waves.
5CGU doesn’t cover damage caused by water leaking or escaping from a shower recess or shower base. CGU doesn't cover loss from erosion or other earth movements. CGU doesn't cover the costs to repair or replace the item that the liquid leaked or escaped from.
