Teachers Healthcare Services attains ACHS certification

The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS), Australia’s leading independent authority on health care, has recognised the high-quality care provided by Teachers Healthcare Services by awarding it certification through its EQuIP6 program.

ACHS standards are recognised within Australia, and internationally, as the benchmark for excellence in patient care. To be certified, Teachers Healthcare Services undertook a rigorous process of external peer review to ensure it met world-class standards for patient care.

An initiative of Teachers Health, Teachers Healthcare Services provides eligible members of the fund with access to evidence-based health management programs and services to support their health and wellbeing.

“I would like to congratulate the team from Teachers Healthcare Services for all their hard work and commitment in achieving certification,” said Brad Joyce, CEO Teachers Health.

“Their team of healthcare professionals pride themselves on the quality of the health management programs and services they provide,” said Mr. Joyce.

“The ACHS certification sends a clear message to the community that Teachers Healthcare Services management and staff are committed to excellence in health care, with a strong and continuous focus on safety, quality and performance.”

Certification is the benchmark for health care providers to continuously improve the quality of care they deliver to the community. Organisations must demonstrate during either a three or four-year period how they have improved their services.

“We are aware that members demand high standards of health care and are delighted that Teachers Healthcare Services has been recognised for meeting this expectation,” said Mr. Joyce.
