Business Development Officer – Health Insurance for Nurses & Midwives - VIC

Make your mark and help build the profile of a niche not-for-profit health insurer

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Officer to build brand awareness and sales in a niche health insurance market, targeting the nursing midwifery communities.

An application is underway to establish a new not-for-profit health insurance fund aimed at the nursing midwifery communities. A skilled relationship builder and sales driver is required to raise its profile among key stakeholders and potential members. The focus of the role will be organising and conducting presentations and follow up sessions with large and small groups of eligible members in the Victorian and Tasmanian nursing midwifery communities resulting in sales of the new fund.

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • experience in successful face-to-face business to consumer sales (B2C)
  • territory management skills
  • superior public speaking skills
  • strong relationship/sales experience working within the nursing sector
  • established health networks will be highly desirable
  • experience in health insurance is also desirable but not essential
  • a clean driving record

Salary will be negotiated based on experience. A company vehicle, corporate wardrobe, laptop, mobile phone and 6 weeks’ annual leave will form part of the package.
